You may experience moderate swelling, redness, or bruising for the first 3 days.
If swelling occurs, gently use an ice pack for no more than 15-minute intervals to help reduce it.
During healing, there should be minimal peeling or flaking — allow it to come off naturally. This usually happens within 3–5 days.
Expect the color to lighten by 50–70% once fully healed.
It’s also normal for the color to appear uneven during different healing stages — be patient, as this is part of the process and results will refine over time.
Watercolor Lip Blushing results typically last 2–5 years, with touch-ups recommended within or after that timeframe. It may take two sessions to reach your ideal color saturation.
Your first retouch appointment (performed within 4–8 weeks) is included in the initial price.
A topical numbing cream is applied during the procedure for comfort, and an aftercare package is provided for you to take home.

Your lips must not be dry at the time of your appointment. If they are, we’ll need to reschedule.
You may exfoliate 3 days before using a gentle lip scrub or a simple mix of honey and brown sugar to remove dry skin.
For the week leading up to your appointment, keep your lips moisturized daily — Aquaphor is highly recommended. This ensures the best pigment retention and overall results.

Cold sores are a potential risk with any lip tattoo procedure. To reduce this risk, we cannot perform the service unless you are taking an antiviral medication.
Even if you’ve never experienced a cold sore before, it’s important to take preventive medication such as L-lysine, Zovirax, Valtrex, or Famvir — starting 2 days before, continuing the day of, and for 3 days after your appointment. Repeat this process for all future lip blush visits.
Consult your doctor for prescription options or ask about over-the-counter availability.

After treatment, your lips will feel swollen and dry. Apply your provided ointment several times daily for at least 14 days — keeping the lips moisturized is key to good healing and color retention.
If lips feel dry during the day, apply a generous layer of ointment using a clean Q-tip (never your fingers) to avoid infection. Gently tap on the product, do not rub.
Healing occurs in three stages:
Too dark → Too light → Just right.
This process takes about one month to complete. Avoid friction, picking, or rubbing the lips throughout the healing period.
